Kaiwhirioranga Rangatahi (Youth Lived Experience Lead)
Tu Whakaruruhau is seeking expressions of interest from a rangatahi (youth) leader with lived experience that is passionate about improving access and choice for young people seeking support for their wellbeing needs through primary and community care. The role is a fixed term secondment, or contract for services, until 30 June 2024. There will possibly be an option of renewal for a further period.

Health Coach
Health Coaches come from a wide range of backgrounds, with a background in coaching people to achieve their goals – this could be in a health setting, however we are also looking for people with experience in sports/exercise, nutrition, wellbeing or other areas.
To be a successful Health Coach, you need the drive to create new programmes for your community, and communication skills to connect with the people who come to your practice.

Training and Support Networks
Each of the three roles (HIP, HC, and Awhi Ora Community Support Worker) are provided with comprehensive training to prepare them for the role.
HIPs - 4 days of intensive classroom-based learning which covers evidence-based psychosocial interventions and the HIP toolkit, and afterwards we provide peer review and ongoing supervision to support their work.
Health Coaches – 5 days of classroom-based learning on health coaching, followed by ongoing direct support.
Awhi Ora – training will be provided by the NGO that employs you.
